JUST Egg™ is the Official Plant-Based Egg of the Vans US Open of Surfing

This week, JUST Egg is making a splash at the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, CA as the official plant-based egg sponsor. JUST Egg is the featured hot breakfast item onsite, and the team expects to serve tens of thousands of samples to athletes and spectators over the course of the nine-day event, from two different locations. 

In the athlete lounge, full-sized sandwiches and breakfast tacos are being offered to competitors to help them fuel up with clean, plant-based protein before they paddle out. And in the main beachfront area, event attendees can sample mini sandwiches and spoon bites of JUST Egg Folded and a sauce of choice as they stroll the boardwalk and watch the waves.

Sustainability is highlighted in different ways throughout the entire event, making JUST Egg a natural fit as a sponsor. Not only are plant-based eggs a better option for the environment, but we are also thoughtful about our sampling methods, including our use of EcoTaster utensils. 

In the first few days of the event, we’ve received an enthusiastic reception from athletes and attendees who are happy to see freshly made, plant-based food on offer -- a sharp contrast to the type of fare typically available at large sporting events.
